Lyle J. Aschebrook, 60, Edgar, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in the emergency room of Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. John's Lutheran Church, ELCA, (Co. Rd. N) Edgar, with Rev. Gail Sowell officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at St. John's Lutheran Church. Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Lyle was born on April 30, 1952 in Iowa, the son of Eugene and Maxine (Treutel) Aschebrook. After his education he served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 8 years. At the present time he was employed at Reliant Rehab in Marshfield. He married Betty J. Buetow on May 27, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Edgar. Lyle had been wrestling coach for Stratford High School for 9 years and for Athens High School for 8 years. He was an extremely kind and caring person. He loved taking on projects of any kind, especially when he could teach or mentor someone at the same time. He especially loved spending time with his wife and family. That was more important to him than anything else in the world. He touched the lives of so very many and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty, 2 sons, Jason (Dar) Aschebrook of Lamira, and Jeremy (Alanna) Aschebrook of Marshfield, 2 stepchildren, Tina (Steve) Seidl of Wausau and Travis (Erin) Niewolny of Edgar and 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Maxine Aschebrook of Auburndale and a sister, Phyllis Adkins of Johnson Creek and 6 brothers, Dave (Jill) Aschebrook of Milwaukee, Kelly (Lisa) Aschebrook of Oshkosh, Gordy (Donna) Aschebrook of Beaver Dam, Darrin (Jody) Aschebrook of Nekoosa, Danny Aschebrook of Mayville, and Brian Aschebrook of Auburndale.
