Lydia M. Dettmann, 92, Stratford, died on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Bethel Center, Arpin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids and burial will take place in the church cemetery. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, and on Friday from 10:00 am until service time at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, March Rapids. Lydia was born on July 11, 1919 in the Fenwood area. She is survived by daughters, Alyce (Larry) Knutson of Wisconsin Rapids and Laura (Joseph) Tritz of Arpin. She is also survived by numerous foster children including Maria Patton of Eau Claire and Heinz Salmon of Irving, Texas. She is further survived by ten grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Arnold, a daughter in infancy, two sons and a sister. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family who will designate a memorial to the humane society.
