Lucy Keller, 98 of Marshfield, died on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Marshfield Care Center. Mass of Christian burial will be 11am Monday, May 23 ,2011 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Don Meuret officiating. Burial will be in Arpin Cemetery with family and friends as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 10am until time of the services on Monday at Our Lady of Peace Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Lucy was born on October 6, 1912 in Sheboygan to Peter and Marie (Marten) Vanden Bergen. The family moved to Arpin in 1912 where she received her education. After her schooling, she moved to West Bend. She worked in the office of the Washington County Asylum from 1929-1939. She then worked for the J.C. Penney Co. from 1942 until her retirement in 1976. Lucy lived in West Bend until May of 2000 when she moved to Marshfield to be closer to her family. Lucy was married to Arthur "Boots" Juech on June 22, 1939 and he died in 1966. She then married Frank Keller on August 22, 1970, he died in 1989. Lucy was a very pleasant and kind lady. She always thanked you for everything you did for her. She loved playing cards, especially sheepshead. Lucy was a volunteer at St. Josephs Hospital in West Bend for many years. Lucy is survived by two stepsons, Bill (Carol) Keller of California, Dan (Judy) Keller of Wild Rose and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers Al and Gay Vanden Bergen and four sisters, Gusta Seboe, Martha Bray, Bertha Lieble-Hilgart and Mabel Poppy. The family wants to extend a heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the loving care Lucy received from the staff at the Angelus Retirement Home, Wells Nature View and Marshfield Care Center.
