Lucille A. Kowalski, 94, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at House of the Dove, Marshfield with her loving family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 30, 2013 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rozellville with Rev. John Robert Alphonse officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Don Meyer, Jesse Grossbier, Jamie Kloos, Jim Kowalski, Kevin Kowalski, and Scott Kowalski. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 10:00 am until service time at St. Andrew's Church. St. Andrew's Parish Council of Catholic Women will recite the rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Lucille was born on August 12, 1919 in Milladore, to Frank and Mary (Brandl) Hoffman. She was united in marriage to Raymond W. Kowalski on July 27, 1937 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church, Blenker. He died on July 30, 1993. The Kowalskis farmed in the Town of Milladore and later moved to the Town of Green Valley, Marathon County. After the death of her husband, Lucille moved to Marshfield. While in Milladore Lucille was very active at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church helping with wedding and funeral dinners. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed fishing, polka music and animals. She loved her family, get togethers at holidays, and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jeanette Meyer of Marshfield, Joyce (Bob) Witz of Mosinee, David (Donna) Kowalski of Auburndale, Jeanne (Martin) Kloos of Marshfield, Dennis (Betty) Kowalski of Mukwonago, Judy (Ralph) Grossbier of Auburndale and Joan (Ed) Purkis of Marshfield. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Raymond (Ellen) Hoffman of Auburndale. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son, Eugene in infancy, a grandson, Ricky Meyer, a son-in-law, Don Meyer, 2 sisters, Bernice Linzmeier and Dorothy Pelner and a brother, Frank Hoffman.
