Lucille C. Hager, 92 of Stratford passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Well's Nature View Assisted Living in Marshfield.
She was born on April 30, 1922 on the family farm in the Poniatowski area to Ignatz "Nick" and Rose ( Ritter) Karlen.
She was united in marriage to Warren A. Hager on February 12, 1944. She lived on a farm near Fenwood for 70 years, enjoying the country landscape and predicting the weather. They retired from farming when she was 73 and she continued to talk about missing the cows. She enjoyed family celebrations, grandchildren and the great grandchildren. Her eyes twinkled at the prospect of a trip to the casino.
She is survived by her children, Elaine (Ardell) Steines of Mosinee, Morris (Deb) Hager of Stratford, Virginia (John) Larson of Madison, Kathy (Bill) Randow of Plymouth, MI, Cynthia (Neil) Suchon of Wausau, Jim (Karen) Hager of Stratford, Mike Hager of Wausau and Sue (Tom) Weix of Colby, 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother Ervin (Nancy) Karlen of Edgar and a sister Sylvia (Harvey) Nowacki of Milwaukee.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren brother Nicholas and a sister Margaret.
Memorial services will be 11am Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home in Stratford with Fr. James Logan officiating.
Family will receive relatives and friends from 10am Monday until time of services at Sauter/Rembs Funeral Home.
