Lovilia A. Aschenbrenner, 90 of Marshfield died peacefully on Saturday morning, April 28, 2012 at the Golden Living Center Three Oaks in Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 am Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Samuel Martin officiating. St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Entombment will be in McMillan Memorial Gardens Cemetery in town of McMillan, Marathon County with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 4-8pm Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again at the church from 9:30am Tuesday until time of services. There will be a Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary at 4pm on Monday at Rembs Funeral Home followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary service at 6:30 pm. Lovilia was born on August 4, 1921 in Marshfield to Harry and Nellie (Beaman) Kroh. She attended Marshfield and Milwaukee schools. She moved to Milwaukee with her parents then returned to Marshfield in 1938 and met her husband Robert. She was united to Robert L. Aschenbrenner on June 26, 1940 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale. They were married for almost 72 years. They lived in Auburndale until moving to the City of Marshfield in 1950 where Bob worked at Roddis Plywood Co. In 1967, they moved to their present home on Drake Avenue in the Township of McMillan. She enjoyed polka dancing and old time music, stamping, cooking, floral gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Robert, children, Roger Aschenbrenner of Marshfield, Robert (Beverly) Aschenbrenner of Stratford, JoAnn (James) Bornbach of Marathon, Kenneth (Nancy) Aschenbrenner of Marshfield and Gary (Bonny) Aschenbrenner of Stratford; 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother Gerald Kroh of Milwaukee and a brother-in-law Alex Aschenbrenner of Plainfield.
