Louis F. Weinfurtner, 93, Marshfield, died on Friday evening, April 6, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and music will be provided by St. John's Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Tom Heinrichs, Jack Serchen, Halver Becken, Russell Ponschock, Jack Meyer, and Dustin Heinrichs. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Louis was born on July 29, 1918 in Marshfield, the son of Alfred and Apollonia (Ehrenreich) Weinfurtner. He was a 1936 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He was united in marriage to Myra L. Becken on June 27, 1945 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Louis was employed at Northern Auto in Marshfield for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, wood working, dancing, and playing cards. He was a long time member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He is survived by his wife, Myra, and their children, Michael Weinfurtner of Marshfield, Jeffrey (Laura) Weinfurtner of Spokane Valley, Washington, Rita (Rodney) Schmitt of Green Bay, and Carol Weinfurtner of Minneapolis. He is also survived by six grandchildren. He is further survived by two brothers, Joseph Weinfurtner of Marshfield and Al Weinfurtner of Sheboygan, and a sister, Rosemary Janzen of Marshfield. He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Nancy Heinrichs, four brothers and four sisters.
