Louis A. Wegner, 60, Pittsville, died on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Friday until service time. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Burial will take place in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Town of Richfield, Wood County. Louis was born on March 9, 1957 in Wisconsin Rapids, to Charles and Meta (Schiller) Wegner and was a 1976 graduate of Pittsville High School. He was raised on the family farm and then was employed at Windy Hill Folliage City Point Cranberry, Hammel's Forest Products and lastly at Pittsville Homes. He enjoyed gardening, deer hunting and spending time with his cat. He is survived by his significant other, Betty Brandl and his brothers and sister, Gerald (Jane) Wegner of Pittsville, Walter (Gloria) Wegner of Pittsville, Charlene (Gary) McDonald of Hewitt, Edward (Starla) Wegner of Marshfield, Alek (Diane) Wegner of Marshfield, William (Jane) Wegner of Pittsville, and Robert (Roxanne) Wegner of Marshfield. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. The family wishes to thank the staff at Marshfield Medical Center for the wonderful care that was given to Louis.
