Lorraine F. Weister, 91, Marshfield, died with family by her side on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Bethel Center, Arpin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Lorraine was born on March 16, 1922 in Marshfield to Michael and Rose (Michalski) Bartl and attended St. John's Parochial School. She was united in marriage to Robert F. Weister on January 3, 1942 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. He died on December 22, 1999. Before her marriage Lorraine had been employed at various businesses in Marshfield. After her marriage she enjoyed cooking, baking and kept the house comfortable. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by 3 daughters and a son, Beverly (Dave) Hupe, Carol Sinn, Shirley Weister and Paul Weister, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Renee (Scott) Haupt, Michelle (Steve) Putnam and Ashley (fiancé – Keith Miller) Weister, and 4 great grandchildren, Amber and Hilary Putnam and Ciara and Zachary Haupt. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a sister, Valerie Vance and 2 brothers, LeRoy Bartl and Raymond Bartl. Memorials may be designated in her name to the Marshfield Area Respite Care Center. The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Center for the compassionate care they provided to Lorraine.
