Lorraine E. Seitz, 87, Marshfield, died on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Marshfield Care Center where she resided since February 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, October 3, 2011 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Rozellville.Rev. Thomas Rudolph will officiate and music will be provided by Paul Drexler and St. Andrew's Folk Choir. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Andrews Catholic Church. St. Andrew's Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be held on Sunday at 4:30 pm followed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6352 Auxiliary memorial service at 6:00 pm, both at the funeral home. Lorraine was born on January 8, 1924 in Auburndale, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Brausch) Poeschel. She attended St. Andrews Parochial School in Rozellville. She married Marvin Seitz and they were later divorced. Lorraine was employed at various businesses in Stratford. She was a homemaker and an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed playing cards, embroidering, music and loved to sing, but most of all she enjoyed doing for others. Her Lord and Savior meant everything to her. "We are on this earth to do the will of God and thereby gain a place in heaven. Jesus I trust in You!" She is survived by seven children, Jerry (Jan) Seitz of Spencer, John (Jane) Seitz and Mary (Joe) Mayer, all of Stratford, Judy (Pete) Beining, Cliff (Lois) Seitz, Susie (Gary) Alfredson and Rosy (Terry) Frank, all of Marshfield. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Lucille Hirsch of Marshfield. She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, Elsie Shoemaker, Frances Johnson, Arlene Fox, and Marion Page, seven brothers, Lawrence, Isadore, John, Albert, Norbert, Henry and Art Poeschel, and a great granddaughter, Maddie.
