Lorraine R. Lillge, age 90 years and 1 day, of Marshfield and formerly of Stratford, died Friday, April 22, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Marshfield.
Lorraine Rose was born April 21, 1926 to Margaret (Kramp) and Conrad Boehm. She and her six siblings were raised on the family farm outside of Marshfield and attended Cameron school. In her younger years, Lorraine worked at Roddis & JC Penney. On April 21, 1947, her 21st birthday, she was joined in marriage to Leslie F. Lillge. Together they owned and operated an A &W in Minneapolis before building their family home in Stratford. When her children were young, Lorraine started selling Stanley Home Products and continued in this business for over 50 years. She was also a charter member of the Stratford VFW Auxiliary Post 6352 and the Parish Council of Catholic Women.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Lowell (Sue) Lillge of Nekoosa and Lynne (Rob) Frenchick of Hayward; three grandchildren Kristen (Sam) Bertsch, Nathan (Jenny) Lillge and Sadie (Jason) Remington; six great-grandchildren, Lucy, Ryan, Ben, Maggie, Mariska, and Jackson; sister-in-law Stella Boehm and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les in 2005; brothers, Oscar, George, and Edward (Bud) Boehm; sisters Agnes Krause, Verna Cournoyer, and Margie Cramer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stratford with Fr. Sengole Vethamanickam officiating. St. Joseph's Resurrection Choir will provide the music. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County.
A time of visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church.
