Lorraine C. Dean, 90 of Marshfield died on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield with Pastor Daryn Bahn officiating. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the town of Richfield. Serving as pallbearers will be Eugene, Ashley and Alechia Brookhart, Timothy and Kevin Klein and Jason Kelnhofer. Visitations will be from noon Tuesday until time of services at Christ Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Lorraine was born on September 12, 1923 Whitehall to Lester and Caroline Lure. She was united in marriage to Clarence W. Dean, Sr. on November 2, 1944 at Pigeon Falls Lutheran Church. He died on June 16, 1991. After their marriage they farmed in Central Wisconsin until 1973. They moved to Colby where she was employed at Land O Lakes, Marshfield Canning Company and Figi's. They moved to Marshfield in 1986 and continued to work at the canning company and Figi's until she retired. She babysat numerous children in Marshfield after she retired and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cross stitching. She is survived by her children Barbara (Louis) Kelnhofer of Stratford, Carol Dean of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Clarence Roger Dean of Spencer; 4 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Steven, grandson Jeffrey Kelnhofer one brother LeRoy Lure and two sisters Joann Toftum and Jeanette Pinnow.
