Lorraine D. Boushon, 86, Marshfield, devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend, answered Gods call to eternal rest on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Golden Living Center Three Oaks, Marshfield. Funeral services will be 11am Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark A. Krueger and Rev. Don Meuret. Bruce Jensema along with Michael Gonering will provide the music for the services. Burial will be in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in the town of Richfield, Wood County with Allen, Kay, Daniel, and Elroy Salzwedel, Ray Immerfall, Ronald Boushon and Dick Bell serving as pallbearers. Visitations will be from 9:30 am Wednesday at the church until time of the services. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Lorraine was born on October 19, 1924 in the town of Lincoln, Wood County to Jerry and Victoria "Dora" (Engels) Strobel. She was a 1943 graduate of McKinley High School. On April 22, 1944, she married Arthur "Art" Boushon at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. After graduation from high school, and until her marriage, Lorraine was employed at Roddis Lumber. Following her marriage, Lorraine did seasonal work at Pre-pack Cheese and Figis , but her main vocation was her family and her faith. Lorraine is survived by her husband Art and daughter Corinne Johnson of Marshfield and a special nephew and his special family, Allen Salzwedel, his wife Kay (Bohman) Salzwedel and their children, Daniel and Nancy. She is also survived by a sibling Milton (Betty) Strobel of Arpin and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Ruth Salzwedel and son-in-law Rick Johnson. Donations in her name may be given to Christ Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
