Lori Ann Boelkes, 56, Warrens, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Marshfield Medical Center.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Warrens Area Fire District Hall. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, Service and Emergency Vehicle processional parade to luncheon begins at 12:00 pm.

Lori was born on April 6, 1968 in Madison to Thomas and Nancy (Faulhaber) Schmelzer. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1986. She worked as a veterinary assistant and auto/RV detailer. She also volunteered as a firefighter and EMR for 12 years, starting in New Auburn and finishing in Warrens.

Lori enjoyed crafting, quilting, bow hunting, and spending time with her many grandkids and bonus grandkids.

She is survived by her husband, Ric, children, Cody (Sara) Brady, Tayler Brady, Miranda Boelkes, Cassidie (Brady) Zais,  and grandchildren, Trinity, Charlee, and Lochlan Brady, Rowan and Miles Brostowitz, Braxton and Blayne Zais, and numerous bonus children and grandchildren; Brianna (Ryan) Johnson, Braelyn Johnson, Brylee Johnson, Eilze Johnson, Sanka Johnson and Sophia Johnson.

She is further survived by parents, Thomas and Nancy, brother, Jim (Cindy) Schmelzer, niece, Rachel Schmelzer, nephews, Tommy and Nicholas Schmelzer, her dogs, Tank and River. Along with Albert the cat.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Peterson, grandparents, her dogs, Chocolate Dude, Hooch, Thunder, and cat, Bart.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Auburn Area Fire Department and Warrens Area Fire District.
