Loretta T. Ertl, 93 of Auburndale died on Saturday morning December 10, 2011 at the Marshfield Care Center. Mass of Christian burial will be 11am Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Auburndale with Rev. Peter Raj officiating. Music will be provided by Shari, Natalie and Jim Beck, Mary Ann Boyer and Jean Nitschke. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Christopher Kaiser, Steven, Scott, Todd and Jeffery Ertl, Paul Baltus, Jr. Kris Baltus and Jerry Dieringer serving as pallbearers. Visitations will be on Monday, December 12th from 4-7pm at the Rembs Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at the church from 10am until time of services. There will be a parish rosary service on Monday at 6:30pm at Rembs Funeral Home. She was born on April 4, 1918 in the town of Marshfield to Louis and Rose (Bredl) Pankratz Rogney. Loretta attended St. Andrews in Rozellville and St. Mary School in Auburndale. She was united in marriage to John R. Ertl on April 30, 1938 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Milwaukee. John died on January 8, 2001. She played the button-box accordion for many years. Loretta enjoyed polka and big band music. She was a great cook and loved to entertain family and friends while playing sheepshead. Surviving are her children, Rose Mary (Lawrence) Dieringer of Marshfield, Alice (Paul) Baltus of Marshfield and Kenneth (Jeanne) Ertl of Auburndale; 18 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Boyer of Unity. She is further survived by a sister Lucille Swensen of Marshfield, four half brothers, Roger (Patricia) Ro gney of Appleton, Clifford (Joyce) Rogney of Auburndale, Ronald (Lois) Rogney of Wisconsin Rapids and Cletus (Norma) Rogney of Auburndale; sister-in-law Helen Pankratz of Lannon, Wi. Besides her parents and husband John, she was preceded in death by a son Harold on April 7, 1991 and one brother Richard Pankratz.
