Obituary

Loraine M. Mancl, 93 of Blenker died on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Blenker with Fr. Peter Raj Officiating. Doris Mielke and Judy Meyer will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitations will be from 4-8pm Friday, October 26th at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Saturday from 9:30am until time of service at the church. Loraine was born on April 1, 1919 in Rozellville to Louis and Agnes (Gemski) Kraus. She attended St. Andrew's Parochial School in Rozellville. She was united in marriage to Martin A. Mancl on October 16, 1937 at St. Andrew's in Rozellville. Martin passed away on March 25, 2002. They farmed in the Auburndale and Blenker areas. While farming, she worked at Wiskerchen Cheese Factory and Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield. She also fried many hamburgers and served many beers for a lot of years at the Rozellville Ballroom. Loraine was a member of St. Kilian's Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with all the family and watching the birds. Last but not least she loved the Lord and Angels. She is survived by her children, Marlene (James) Hasenohrl of Auburndale, Betty (friend Lyle Miller) Saverda of Marshfield, Joan Heinzen of Gretna NE, Charlotte (Ken) Linzmeier of Nekoosa, Terry (friend Leotta) Mancl of Auburndale, Mary Holtman of Colby, Emily Weinfurter of Sheboygan, Roger (Laurie) Mancl of Hewitt, Gail (Leon) Keding of Marshfield, and Dan (Carol) Mancl of Wisconsin Rapids; 48 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren; Lorraine is further survived by her siblings LaVerne Fahey of Marshfield, Marion Jakubowski of Wausau, LeRoy (Anita) Kraus of Marshfield, Louis (Dorothy) Kraus of Wausau, Agnes (Ron) Rehlinger of Marshfield, Virginia Stauber of Marshfield, Jerry (Jean) Kraus of Marshfield, Tom (Margaret) Kraus of Marshfield, Marilyn (Rich) Wagner of Marshfield, James (Irene) Kraus of Janesville, Ken (Mary) Kraus of Stratford and a sister-in-law Anne Mancl of Phillips. Besides her parents and husband Martin, she was preceded in death by a son in infancy, three grandsons, great granddaughter, two sons-in-law, David Heinzen and Terry Holtman, two brothers Edward and Charles Kraus and two sisters Anita Pokallus and Margie Oertel.
