Lois M. Weigel Yost, age 85, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Willow Brook Senior Living, Stevens Point.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, where a gathering for family and friends will be from 10:30 am until service time. Rev. Daniel Thelen will officiate. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Lois was born on May 27, 1939, in Marshfield, to Louis and Dorothy (Greenwald) Thom and attended Marshfield Schools. She was united in marriage to David Weigel on September 9, 1937, and he passed away on September 7, 1995. She later married Edward Yost on February 28, 1998, and he passed away.

In addition to being a homemaker, Lois was employed in housekeeping at Holiday Inn and seasonally at Figi's, in Marshfield. She had been a longtime member of St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, where she was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women.

She enjoyed ceramics, camping and fishing, but most of all spending time with her children.

She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (William) Birge of Milladore and Penny Weigel of Plover.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son, Gerald Weigel, two sisters, Delores Heckel and Carol Heckel and a brother, Mike Thom.
