Lois A. Rasmussen, 94, of Marshfield passed away peacefully at the Wells Nature View 2711 South Apple under the care of Heartland Hospice with family by her side.
Per her wishes, there will be no public services. She will be interred with her husband at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Lois was born October 6, 1931 in Marshfield to Edmund W. “Bill” and Viola (Laufenberg) Treutel. The third of four daughters born to the couple, she attended local schools, graduating From Marshfield High in 1949. Lois was united in marriage to the late Gordon E. Rasmussen February 3, 1951 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Marshfield. He sadly passed in 2021.
Lois is survived by her children: Sandee Kramer of Palatine, IL; Jeffrey (Mary Jane) Rasmussen of Chester, NJ; Scott (Clare) Rasmussen of Eau Claire, WI; Cindy (Wayne) Zygarlicke of Marshfield, WI; Brian (Sandy) Rasmussen of Orono, MN; Aimee (Jerry) Clough of Sobieski, WI; and Brenda Carpenter of Menomonie, WI. She is further survived by 18 grandchildren: Jim (Amy) Kramer, Tom (Crista) Kramer, Tim (Rebecca) Kramer, Matt (Catie) Kramer, Dana (Christopher) Zebrowski, Laura (Courtney) Holland, Eric (Arwen) Rasmussen, Joel (Sally) Rasmussen, Bryan (Johanna) Rasmussen, Kyle (Melissa) Zygarlicke, Neal (Whitney) Zygarlicke, Rob Rasmussen, Erin Rasmussen, Katie Rasmussen, Noah (Alecia) Clough, Zoe (Nathan) Schumacher, Ada Clough, Ryan (McKenna) Carpenter, and 24 great grandchildren: JD, Hayley & Caleb Kramer, Julia, Paige, Allison, & Sarah Kramer, Lucas & Lily Kramer, Mason, Evelyn, & Harrison Kramer, CJ & Grace Zebrowski, Mira Holland, Gordon & Quinn Rasmussen, Elwood, Leah, & Brynn Zygarlicke, Monroe Zygarlicke, Kynsley Clough, and Kaden & Dawson Carpenter; and her sister Mary Carol Schlagenhaft of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon, sons Joseph & Michael, and sisters Jeanne Hanson & Anita Dieringer.
