Lois M. Olson, 91, Marshfield, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Marshfield Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until service time. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. James Weighner will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, Matt, Chris and Brian Olson, Joe Becker, Tiffany Zawislan, Trevor Zawislan and Tara Nelson. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Social distancing is encouraged, and masks are required. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Lois was born on June 29, 1929 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Alphonse and Genevieve (Pfeffer) Ripp. She was united in marriage to Orman J. Olson on August 6, 1949 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, in Manitowoc. He died on May 14, 2003.
Lois loved watching her grandsons football and winning state championships, loved to travel and be outside. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lois' Campfire Girl Leader group was the first in the Diocese to have received the Marion Award.
Lois is survived by her children, Sue (Bob) Hargraves, Mike Olson, Nancy (Dave) Hodsdon and Scott Olson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Matt Olson, Chris Olson, Heidi (Paul) Jungwirth, Tiffany (Shane) Zawislan, Joe (Steph) Becker, Brian Olson and Tara Nelson and 13 great grandchildren, Maddie, Corey, Hailey, Riley, Dakota, Trevor, Tristyn, Talan, Chase, Tenley, Payton, Preston and Piper. She is further survived by two brothers, Greg (Kay) Ripp and Doug (Gloria) Ripp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a great grandson, Tyler.
Memorials may be designated in her name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
