Before her marriage Lois was employed as a bookkeeper in Marshfield. After her marriage she was a full time wife and mother and bookkeeper for the family business, Haupt Well and Irrigation Company.
Lois was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed walking, bird watching, working in the yard and flower gardens, crossword puzzles and card club gatherings. She also enjoyed Sunday drives which often resulted in detours when Sylvester would spot a drill rig tower off in the distance that he just had to check out. Family was important to Lois and she loved get-togethers with family and friends. She also loved decorating for the holidays, especially her Christmas Village Scenes.
Lois is survived by her children, Jeff (Diana) Haupt of Kronenwetter, Jalayne Haupt (Thomas Fries) of Arpin, Sara (Brad) Schecklman of Chili, Renee (Todd) Seidel of Woodruff, Amy (Dave) Seidl of Larsen and Scott (Renee) Haupt of Marshfield. The family wishes to thank the loving, helpful, caring staff at Bethel Center who treated her as family.
