Obituary

Lindsey Michelle Rudie (Adsit), 35, of Junction City, WI passed away on February 8th 2024, surrounded by her family and friends at Marshfield Medical Center due to complications from a sudden illness.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Martens/Rembs Funeral Home in Junction City with visitation from 9:00 am until service time. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate. A celebration of life will also be held at a later date.

Lindsey was born on September 28th 1988, to Brett Adsit and Susan (Tiede) Hintz in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She grew up in Stevens Point, WI and graduated from Stevens Point Area Senior High in 2007. She went on to achieve an associate degree in Forestry from Midstate Technical College in 2012 .

Lindsey worked at Bills Pizza and then at Associated Bank as a Branch Operations Support Senior Specialist in Stevens Point where she gained lifelong friendships. Lindsey spent the last several years at home, being a wonderful mom for her children.

Lindsey's oldest son, Oliver Stanley, made her a mother in 2009 and brought so much joy and happiness into her life. Lindsey and Dustin Rudie, of Junction City, met during their high school years and would arrange to meet in Junction City (with help from their parents with driving) to spend time with one another. They parted ways and reconnected years later when the timing was right. Lindsey and Dustin were married on July 22nd 2017, and had two boys together, Finley and Gage, who she affectionately called Finnyboo and Gageybabes. Her three boys added so much additional light to her life.

Lindsey was known to light up every room she walked into with her contagious laugh, smile, and incredible sense of humor. She was kind, beautiful, and an avid lover of music and animals. One of her greatest passions was writing music and singing. Lindsey was an amazing lyricist and singer with a lovely voice, and her talent and creativity shone through her music. She wrote countless songs, played guitar, piano and performed in several local productions throughout the Stevens Point and Plover area. Her hobbies included cooking (with a generous amount of butter), gardening, plants, crocheting, fishing, drawing, watching and quoting movies and above all, she loved being a mother to her children and fur babies.

Lindsey is survived by her husband, Dustin Rudie; three sons: Oliver (15), Finley (5), and Gage (3); parents and step-parents, Susan and Al Hintz and Brett Adsit; grandmother, Dorothy Tiede; two siblings and their spouses; Luke and Kirsten Adsit, Tyler and Katrina Adsit; Dustin's parents, Glenn and Cindy Rudie and her sister-in-law, Danielle and Brad Kucharzak. She is additionally survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends and two dogs, Leonard and Louise.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clair Tiede, Yvonne and Kenneth Adsit and her beloved dog, Toby.

Lindsey will be deeply missed by her loved ones and all who knew her. Her memory will live on through her children, music, and the love she shared.

Lindsey's family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for all the friends and family that have been supporting them through this difficult time.
