Obituary

Leonard E. "Studor" Drexler, 88 of Marshfield passed away on July 21, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30am Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Sebastian Venni officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitations will be from 4-9pm Tuesday at the Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 am until service time. He was born on November 16, 1923 in Stratford to Charles and Anna (Dillinger) Drexler. He married Marian R. Weigel on October 1, 1952 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Stratford. They would be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct 1st. Studor was a dairy farmer his entire life. He first farmed in Stratford. Then in 1954 they bought their farm in Marshfield where they made their life. In his younger years, Studor worked at the stockyards for 16 years, Spindler's Mink Ranch, Diermeier's Locker Plant, and was a sub for the mail route 3. He was willing to do any job no matter how hard for little pay. He received the Outstanding Young Farmer Award in 1974. Something they were very proud of. Studor will be remembered most by his family and friends for his work ethic. Cutting wood and being in the woods was his passion. If he had a chainsaw in his hand he was happy. He enjoyed buying used machinery to fix up and sell. He was always excited about a good deal at an auction. Deer hunting was also a love of his. He would look forward to it all year long. Always making sure there was enough food in the shack for the hunting crew. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV, especially football. He could visit with people for hours talking farming, politics or anything. Studor is survived by his wife Marian, two sons Glen (Diana) Drexler of Rozellville, Scott (Ann) Drexler of Marshfield and one daughter Stephanie (Joseph) Hill of Marshfield; Seven grandchildren, Brian (Brittany), Jesse, and Veronica Drexler, Kylie and Katrina Hill, Wyatt and Sylas Drexler; one great granddaughter Alyssa Drexler. He is further survived by his brother Richard (Adeline) Drexler of Stratford and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers William 'Bill', Lawrence 'Storky' and Charles 'Chuck' Drexler. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A legend in his own time.
