Leonard C. Dillinger, 79, Stratford, died on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford. Committal services will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 pm at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Green Valley, Marathon County with Rev. Darryl Kenagy officiating. Leonard was born on April 30, 1937 in Wood County, to Charles and Mary (Steckler) Dillinger and was a graduate of Auburndale High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He married Judith A. Hollatz on August 26, 1961 at Grace Lutheran Church, Town of Green Valley. She died on March 11, 2005. After his honorable discharge he was employed for a time at Streu Construction, Two Rivers. Later the Dillingers farmed in the Town of Milladore until their retirement. They then moved to the Village of Stratford where he resided until the present time. Leonard loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed many trips to Canada. In his later years he enjoyed puzzles and playing cards. He is survived by a son, Ryan Dillinger of Milladore and a daughter, Julie Dillinger of Marshfield. He is also survived by brothers, David (Sandy) Dillinger of Auburndale and Ervin Dillinger of Stratford and a sister, Clara Kaus of Auburndale.
