LaVerne R. Cummings, 92, Marshfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Marshfield Health Services. No formal services will be held. LaVerne was born on May 2, 1928 in the Town of Christie, Wood County. He attended a one room schoolhouse in Christie. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Korea. LaVerne enjoyed visiting his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his children, Randall (Dianne) Cummings, Dorothy (Gary) Hubbard, Dan Cummings, and Michael Cummings, 9 grandchildren, Dane Cummings, Camille Cummings, Anne (Aaron) Kirschbaum, Heather (Scott) Casey, LaVern Nystrom, Erin (Zev) Heersma, Michael (Blaine) Cummings, Brandon (Kiara) McHugh and Heidi (Jenkin) Cummings, 9 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his half-brother, Gary Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents.
