Laurina Ann Draxler, 96, of Auburndale, embraced by Jesus, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at her home with her loving family by her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Auburndale, with Father Angisamy lrudayaraj and Father Eric Mashak officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, with her daughters serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Saturday at the church beginning one hour before the service. A parish prayer service and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Laurina was born on December 10, 1929, to Steven and Helen (Vanek) Swetz. She graduated from Auburndale High School. On July 2, 1952, Laurina married her sweetheart, Francis A. Draxler, in Blenker, Wisconsin. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with 13 children. Laurina adored her family and always had a warm smile and a special place in her heart for her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Faith was an important part of Laurina's life. A devoted member of St. Mary's Parish, she shared her time and talents with her church and community. She was also a proud member of the Auburndale VFW Auxiliary, and recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution award, honoring her family’s heritage and history.

Laurina was blessed with many creative talents, which she lovingly shared with her family and community. A gifted seamstress, she created beautiful garments for her children, each made with care and love. Music was another special part of her life. A talented musician, she played the piano, accordion, and saxophone, and shared her beautiful voice through singing in the church choir and a Czech choir group. Her creativity also extended to embroidery, as she lovingly stitched countless special pieces for her children and grandchildren. Many of these treasured creations, along with the talents and traditions she taught, have been passed down through the generations, serving as lasting reminders of her love and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Laurina also had a lifelong love of games and cherished the time spent around the table with family and friends, sharing laughter, conversation, and a little friendly competition. Whether playing cards or earning her well-deserved title as the "Queen of Chinese Checkers," she brought joy and fun to every gathering. One of her proudest gaming accomplishments was achieving the rare perfect cribbage hand of 29 points. More than the games themselves, it was the time spent together and the memories made that meant the most.

Above all, Laurina's greatest joy was her family. Through her gentle kind heart, faith, creativity, music, and the countless moments shared with those she loved, she created a legacy that will live on in the hearts of generations to come.

Laurina is survived by her loving children: Karen Willfahrt of Auburndale and son Adam; Gerard (Debbie) Draxler of Wausau and children Lisa, Crystal, and Chad; Alita (Al) Lobner of Milladore and children Brian and Corey; Frank (Chris) Draxler of New Auburn and children Clark, Cortney, and Elliot; Ron (Lois) Draxler of Auburndale and children SFC Kyle and Nicholas; Doreen (George) Lang of Sherry and children Tara, Mandy, and Christopher; (Karen) Draxler of Oshkosh and children Evan, Aaron, and Sarah; Laura (Chuck) Krier of Omro and children Dan, Ashley, and Dave; Marie (Kelly) Eiden of Amherst and children Alyssa, Sawyer, and Nicole; Ramona (Brian) Fisher of Wisconsin Rapids and children Emily and Lyla; David Draxler of Auburndale and daughter Morgan; Danelle (David) Ley of Mosinee and daughter Rachel; and Steve (Kerry) Draxler of Denmark and children Maren, Colton, and Evelyn. She is also survived by her sister, Charlene Moscinski, numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Laurina will be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Francis A. Draxler; her parents, Steven and Helen (Vanek) Swetz; her son, Don; her son-in-law, Glen Willfahrt; her granddaughter, Lhea Krier; great-granddaughter Lhea Gomach, her brother, George Swetz, and sister-in-law, Marie Swetz; and her sister, Arlene (Swetz) Hayes, and brother-in-law Robert Hayes.

The family would like to send out a special heart-felt “Thank-You” to Pam, Lynn, and Jen with St. Croix Hospice and all the caregivers, especially Lilly, who lovingly cared for our Mom.

Rest in peace Mom and let Perpetual Light shine upon you.
