Obituary

Lauretta L. Multerer, 90, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, August 22, 2011 at St. Johns Catholic Church. Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate and Gigi Plautz will be the organist for St. Johns Church Funeral Choir. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 am until service time at St. Johns Catholic Church. St. Johns Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary will be held at 4:30 pm followed by the Marshfield Eagles Auxiliary memorial service at 5:00 pm, both on Sunday at the funeral home. Lauretta was born on September 16, 1920 in Medford, the daughter of Herman and Minnie (Haenel) Werner. She married Vincent Multerer on May 31, 1941. He died on July 1, 1978. Lauretta worked at various businesses in Marshfield, including Woolworths, Figis, Shopko and St. Josephs Hospital. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning and baking. She especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Jim (Rita) Multerer of Meridian, Idaho, Rik (Deb) Multerer of Marshfield, Patty (Ron) Kraus of Hewitt, and Sandy Westbrook of Stevens Point. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Mandy Multerer, Tim (Jill) Multerer, Kari (David) Marsch, Laura (Brian) Jensen, Kevin Kraus, Austin (Jenni) Westbrook, Clint Westbrook and Jordan Multerer and one great grandson, Liam Jensen. She is further survived by two sisters and a brother, Leona Krug, Dottie Dietzman, and Bob (Rosemary) Werner, all of Medford, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vic Multerer of Marshfield and Dolores Stuhr of Butler, Wisconsin. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a son Robert on June 18, 1961, three sisters and four brothers. Memorials may be designated to St. Johns Parish or to House of the Dove, both in Marshfield.
