Laikyn was born on May 15th, 2023 to Donovan and Elizabeth Fox in Milwaukee. He was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He bravely fought his way through open chest surgeries, and cath lab procedures. He finally made it home for five weeks before returning to the hospital for an open heart bypass surgery. He always had a determined look on his face going into surgery as if he was saying "Don't worry, I got this!" Throughout his whole journey, he never stopped amazing people with his fight and determination.
Although he spent most of his life in the Cardiac ICU, he was surrounded by people who loved him. The nurses would even joke that they fought over him.
We were so blessed to have him home for five weeks. In that time he was able to go to church with his family, enjoy splashing around in the bathtub, and get a lot of snuggles.
Laikyn is lovingly survived by his parents Donovan and Elizabeth Fox of Spencer. Paternal Grandma Catherine Fox (Chippewa Falls). Maternal Grandparents Steve and Danise Taylor (Chili). Maternal Great Grandma Nanc Pittman (Chippewa Falls). Aunts and Uncles Katie (Eric) Heiden (Granton), Rebekah(Josiah) Sawyer (Neillsville), Hannah Taylor (Chili) and honorary Uncle Benjamin Splitter (Spencer). Cousins Mason, Emmitt & Maylee Heiden. Elsie and Laura Sawyer. Along with numerous great aunt's, uncles and cousins.
