Kurt J. Shefchik, 59, Marshfield, died with family by his side on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Private family memorial services will be held at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield. Kurt was born on February 6, 1957 in Marshfield, to Leo and Marie (Nenahlo) Shefchik and was a 1976 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. He was disabled most of his adult life but Kurt enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers and playing cards with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Marie Shefchik of Marshfield and his brothers and sisters, Mark (Betsy) Shefchik of Wisconsin Rapids, Scott Shefchik of Marshfield, Brian (Deb) Shefchik of Menomonie, Tony Shefchik of Marshfield, Nicki (David) Wayerski of Menomonie, Nancy Lang (Jason Steines) of Marshfield and Jeff (Debbie) Shefchik of Orlando, Florida. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Leo, a brother, Robin and a sister, Colleen.
