Kevin K. Hamus died on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at his home in the Town of McMillan, Marathon County. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Sam Martin officiating. Cathy Heuer along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music. Visitations will be from 4-8pm Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home in Marshfield and again on Thursday at the church from 9:30am until service time. Kevin was born of German heritage on June 14, 1958 to Jerome and Charlotte (Baumann) Hamus in Marshfield. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbus High School. He was united in marriage to Carol M. Haffenbredl on June 15, 1985 at St. John's Catholic Church. Kevin worked at St. Joseph's Hospital first as an orderly and later as a nursing assistant. For the past 15 years, Kevin worked in the GI Department at the Marshfield Clinic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. Kevin is survived by his wife Carol, children Nicholas (Elizabeth) Hamus of Ashland and Kari Hamus of Marshfield. He is further survived by his father and step mother Jerome (Claudine) Hamus of Marshfield. He was preceded in death by his mother Charlotte in 2001. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
