Kenneth R. Zink, Sr., 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where a gathering for family and friends will be from 9:00 am until service time. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate, and military rites will be conducted following the service.

Kenneth was born on January 15, 1938, in the Town of McMillan, Marathon County, to Leonard and Laura (Selch) Zink. He attended St. John's Catholic school and Columbus High School. After his education he began working at Weyerhaeuser Company in Marshfield. He then enlisted in the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned to Weyerhaeuser where he was employed for 45 years until his retirement.

He married Joan M. Johnson in June of 1968, and she died on January 22, 1977.

Ken enjoyed woodworking and later in life putting puzzles together.

He is survived by a son, Kenneth Zink, and a daughter, Debra Sebold (Scott O'Reilly), all of Marshfield. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Candi (David) Bandt, Holly Chong, Ruby Vaningan and Jessica Sebold, four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter Barbara and brothers, Donald, and Daniel.
