Julia Ann (Groshek) Becker of Vesper, WI was called to accompany the angels in song on Thursday, December 26, 2013. She was born August 26th, 1955 to the late Joseph and Cornelia Groshek in Stevens Point, WI. Julia married Terry Becker in 1994. She and Terry shared many adventures together. The most notable ones were traveling to Alaska, hunting and fishing its beautiful wild areas. Terry preceded her in death in 2006. Upon Julia's retirement she found real friendship and numerous genuine people as an employee at the Buck-A-Neer Supper Club, Rozellville, WI. Julia had many interests. During the summer you could find her in the nearest berry patch happily picking away. She also enjoyed visiting Lake Superior, partaking in its recreational opportunities and amazing grandeur. Julia had a special fascination with both feathers and fur, intrigued with the activity of birds and the splendor of horses. In addition, she frequently found pride and pleasure within her kitchen. Julia loved to can everything from snappy asparagus to tomato vegetable juice. Her distinct favorite foods and baked goods were graciously shared with many individuals at numerous family gatherings. Lastly, Julia's dogs were her faithful and constant companions. They accompanied her on many walks and trail hikes near her home as well as some wild car rides. They brought her much joy! Julia is survived by two sons, Neil (Sonia) Dickrell of St. Cloud, MN and Eric Dickrell of Vesper, WI, and three grandchildren, Lukas, Owen and McKenna Dickrell. She is also survived by five brothers, Christopher (Theresia) Groshek, Guy (Margaret) Groshek, Joseph Groshek (Sandy Sky), Matthew Groshek (Nick Silva), Anthony "Tony" (Sara) Groshek and two sisters, Michalene "Molly" Groshek (Gregory Booton), and Sharon (Curtis) Aaby. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, Christa, Jacob, Joelle, Amy, Jamie and Jennifer Groshek, Jessica Olen, Rachel and Laura Aaby, and Nicholas Groshek Booton. We will all dearly miss the fun, laughter and love of Julia. As per her wishes there will be a private funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
