Joyce J. Kress, 79, Marshfield, died unexpectedly with family by her side on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. At her request a private family memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Joyce was born on August 8, 1935 in Marshfield, to George and Mable (Hopfensperger) Treutel. She attended St. Andrew's Parochial School, Rozellville and was a 1953 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. After her education she was employed by St. Joseph's Hospital and various law offices in Marshfield, retiring in 2013. Joyce is survived by, James J. Kress, Sr., her husband of 57 years, a son James J. Kress, Jr., a granddaughter, Jacqueline Kress and a daughter-in-law, Susan Kress. Also surviving is a brother, Marvin (Karen) Treutel and nieces and nephews. Her dog, a white west highland terrier, Little Guy, will also miss her dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mable Treutel. Memorials may be designated in Joyce's name to Our Lady of Peace Church or to the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter.
