Joyce A. Hopperdietzel, 67, Marshfield, died with family by her side on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj, Deacon Ray Draeger and Chaplain Dennis Fahey officiating. Interment will take place in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Town of Richfield, Wood County at a later date. The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Rembs Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until service time on Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joyce was born on June 1, 1948 in Marshfield, the daughter of Cliff and Betty (Kipp) Craft and was a 1966 graduate of Columbus Catholic High School. She was united in marriage to John R. Hopperdietzel on June 28, 1969 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joyce and her husband John owned and operated Marshfield Monument for 34 years until their retirement. They enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and spending time at the cottage on Lake Holcombe. Joyce is survived by her husband, John and their children, Brian (Michele) Hopperdietzel of Marshfield, David (Michelle) Hopperdietzel of Pardeeville, and Eric (Amanda) Hopperdietzel of Hartford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sara, Emily, Jacob, Rachel, Chloe and Ava. She is further survived by her parents, Cliff and Betty Craft of Marshfield, a sister, Maribeth (Leon) Knaak of Marshfield and a brother, Jim (Debbi) Craft of Hewitt. She was predeceased by a brother Dennis in infancy. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yeboah and his staff, Dr. Claessens and his staff, the wonderful people in the Oncology / Hematology department, those who took care of her on 8 North and the very special people in Palliative Care.
