Joseph Strong Jr., 62, of Marshfield, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in the care of Marshfield Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 11, 2025 at East Gate Alliance Church, Marshfield. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Joe was born February 19, 1963 in Blue Island, Illinois to Joseph Sr. and Diana (Vukmirovich) Strong. The younger of two children born to the couple. He is a 1981 graduate of Thornwood High School in South Holland, IL. He worked in construction as a framer. Joe married the former Miss Joyce Westerhoff October 22, 1992 in Crown Point, Indiana. She sadly preceded him in death June 12, 2023.

He was a passionate fan of all things baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs. Though it wasn't enough to keep him from moving north to Wisconsin to pursue his love of fishing and the outdoors. And when not fishing or baseball season, there was football season: Joe favored the Dallas Cowboys.

Joe is survived by his sister Debbie Robinson, his son Robert (Anna) Strong, grandchildren James "JJ", Kensley, and Austin Strong. He is further survived by nieces and nephews: Matthew Rusch, Robert (Kolie) Robinson, and Ashley (Joseph) Dapship; and six great-nieces & great-nephew. He is also survived by his step children Danny, Charlie, Valerie, and Jeff Kerr and their families; as well as his extended family Kris (Greg) Winters and family.

Joeseph is preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life Joyce, and his great-niece Kylah.
