Obituary

Johnette I. Reigel, 78, Marshfield, died on Friday, April 29, 2016, surrounded by her family at Atrium Post Acute Care of Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. Johnette was born on June 24, 1937 in Marshfield, to Oscar and Christine (Lang) Ledden. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School in Auburndale and was a 1955 graduate of Columbus High School, Marshfield. She was united in marriage to Clifford J. Reigel on August 23, 1958 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Auburndale. Johnette was a devoted wife and mother. A lifelong believer in Catholic education, she supported her children and grandchildren in school and enjoyed attending their activities, performances and sporting events. In addition to her strong faith, family was a big part of her life. Her entire family was with her regularly celebrating birthdays, holidays and special events as well as often getting together for breakfast after Sunday mass. She also enjoyed golfing, traveling and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. Johnette served her church and community as a founding board member of Saint Vincent DePaul and as a board member of the Hannah Center. She also served as a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Peace. She is survived by her husband, Cliff and their 4 children and 7 grandchildren, Mary (Jim) Follmer, of Marshfield; Thomas Reigel of Marshfield and his children, Ethan, Logan, Alishia and Sophia Reigel; Sara (Shawn) Hansen of Marshfield, and their children, Evan, Noah and Makenzie Hansen; and Jason (Laura) Reigel of Bellevue, WA. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Betty Thom of Springfield, MO, Karleen (Fritz) Hendrickson of Milwaukee, Susan Willfahrt of Wisconsin Rapids, Sheila (Ken) Weis of Marshfield, Clarice (Wenzel) Karl of Auburndale, Eugene (Diane) Ledden of Auburndale, Lenore Miller of Plymouth, MN, Angela (David) Ledbetter of Murrayville, GA, and Patrick (Mary) Ledden of Auburndale. She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Christine Ledden and a brother, Timothy Ledden. The family wishes to thank the staff of Atrium Post Acute Care for the wonderful care given to Johnette and the kindness to Cliff as well.
