John T. Wagner, "Sugar Bear", age 74, Marshfield, passed away on October 12, 2023 at the Marshfield Medical Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Johns Catholic Church with Father Thelen officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery Field of Honors, Marshfield, where military rights will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54.

John was born on January 27th, 1949 in Marshfield Wisconsin to Andrew and Sophie (Hempfer) Wagner. He was a 1967 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School and went on to join the Marine Corps in 1968 serving in Okinawa with Honorable Discharge in 1970.

He worked at Soo Line Rail Road for many years up until retirement.

John is survived by his sister Marion Wagner, daughters Vicki Taylor and Jackie Bowe. He is further survived by his nephew Jim Wagner, grandsons Brent Bernard, Wesley Harden, Nick Bowe and Andy Bowie, and granddaughter Alisha Harden.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ron Wagner, Charlie Wagner, Jerry Wagner, and sister Andrea.
