John W. Kloehn, 86, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at House of the Dove, Marshfield and is now with his Savior in Heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2026 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Town of McMillan, Marathon County with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Rev. Wayne Oblender will officiate. A livestream will be available on John’s obituary page at the time of service. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

John was born on July 13, 1940 to Rudolph and Azilda (Schilling) Kloehn and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1957. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Niemi on October 22, 1966 at St. Mark’s in Ogema.

John was a strong Christian man that loved his Lord Jesus. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, McMillan and Trinity Lutheran Church, Minocqua, WI. He was a dairy farmer until 1987. He loved his farm and his animals. Later he worked for Edelweiss Cheese Factory and as a housekeeper for Marshfield Clinic in Minocqua, WI. John was also an avid fisherman and hunter and built his log cabin "up north."

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, children, Alan (Trina) Kloehn of Hewitt, Vanessa Frederick of Chilton, and Shelly (John) Antoniewicz of Kronenwetter; nine grandchildren, Hannah (Nevada) Laabs, Elizabeth Kloehn (Brayden Maharry), Matthew Kloehn, Abigail Kloehn, Fiona Frederick (Coty Wandersee), Dalen Frederick, Kira (Coby) Best, Alyssa Antoniewicz and Ian Antoniewicz; and one great grandchild, Kayson Mathew Laabs.

He is further survived by his brother, Russell (Verona) Kloehn of Onalaska, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Kloehn; mother, Azilda Kloehn; father and mother in law, Mauno and Lempi Niemi; son in law, Allen Frederick; sisters and brothers in law, Mildred and Bill Rudolph and Lillian and Jim Miller.
