John A. "Big John" Syryczuk, 86, Lublin, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care, Marshfield. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin with Fr. John Long officiating. Family will receive relatives and friends from 10 am until service time on Saturday at the church. Per John's request there will be no public visitation and he will be cremated. John was born on May 27, 1926 on the home farm in Lublin, the son of Andrew and Anna (Nowak) Syryczuk and was a graduate of Gilman High School. He married Regina Grabski on October 10, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Lublin. John farmed in the Township of Ford, Taylor County his entire life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting. He is survived by his wife, Regina and their children, Cindy Daniels of Eden Prairie, MN, Kevin (Cindy) Syryczuk of Lublin, Susan (Raymond) Halida of Colby, and Craig (Michelle) Syryczuk of Thorp. He is also survived by grandchildren, Reed (Ashley), Evan, and Callie Daniels, Trenton "TJ", Alexa and Joshua Syryczuk, and Jamie and Christopher Syryczuk and great grandchildren, Benjamin and Bryson Syryczuk. He is further survived by a brother, Irving Syryczuk of Medford and a sister, Virginia (Mike) Ustianowski of Lublin and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Carleen in infancy, parents, a brother Donald (Vicki), a sister, Lorraine, and in-laws, Frank and Celia Grabski, brothers-in-law Roman Grabski, Maylan Reyzer, sisters-in-law Lucille Lukas and Louise Vorpahl.
