John C. Stoflet, 58, Arpin, died peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, October 13, 2014 at his home in the Town of Richfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, with Rev. Jesse Burish officiating. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time, all at Rembs Funeral Home. John was born on September 28, 1956 in Marshfield to Gerald and Elizabeth "Betty" (Cepress) Stoflet. He married Frances D. Braunsky on September 11, 1976 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hewitt. He was employed at Shaw's Wrecking and later self employed as a logger which was his passion. John always took the time out for his family. Some of his hobbies were woodworking, camping, and four wheeling. One of his pastimes was with his children and grandchildren teaching them mechanics and woodworking and of course his mischievous pranks. John was truly a "jack of all trades" from repairing to renovating his kids' homes. He is survived by his wife, Fran and their children, Shelly (Rick) Grimm of Arpin, Carl Stoflet (Teressa) of Pittsville, and Heather (Mike) Pardi of Loyal. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, Jacob "Jackie", Wyatt and Waylon. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Mary (Dennis) Bargander of Marshfield, Jean (Louie) Rosandich of Chili, Jim (Jane) Stoflet of Marshfield, David Stoflet (Sara) of Marshfield, Ann (Steve) Zygarlicke of Marshfield, and Mark (Jill) Stoflet of Stratford. He was preceded in death by his parents and his in laws, Richard and Lucille Braunsky. To celebrate John's life, wear colorful clothing rather than the color of mourning. The family wishes to thank Ministry Home Care Hospice, especially Grace and Joe for the wonderful care that was given to John.
