John R. Conner, 92, Marshfield, died on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield. Per his request there will be no funeral service. John was born on October 2, 1920 in Mount Vernon, Illinois, the son of John W. and Gussie (Johnson) Conner. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. He married Janet B. Bradley on June 6, 1975 in Syracuse, New York. She died on September 3, 2009. John is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Conner and a daughter-in-law, Denise Fortin Conner, both of Belgium, France. He is further survived by nieces and nephews and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a son, John D. Conner and a sister, Ruth Pigg.
