Joel R."Butch" Weber 62 of Marshfield passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30am Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield with Fr. Sam Martin Officiating. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Visitations will be from 4-7pm Sunday at the Rembs Funeral Home and again on Monday at the church from 9:30am until services. Joel was born on December 31, 1952 in Marshfield to Joseph M. and Bernadine F.Weber. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1972 and attended Western Technical College in LaCrosse. He was united in marriage to Marlene M. Spindler on July 31, 1976 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville. Butch was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved farming and it was always a part of his life. In 1985, Butch went back to school to begin his career in HVAC. He retired from the trade in 2010. Over the years, he enjoyed hunting, water skiing, traveling and spending time with his family. Butch was always willing to go out of his way to help anyone in need. "Papa" cherished his time playing with his grandkids and granddogs. He weathered the good and the bad with an unwavering sense of humor. He was often quick witted with a hint of sarcasm. Butch was a strong and restless man who became a prisoner to his disease. He will forever be missed. Joel is survived by his parents, Joe and Bernadine Weber, wife Marlene, children, Sarah (Nick) Slipka of Chippewa Falls, Renee (Brad) Wojciechowski of Madison and Scott Weber of Marshfield; 4 grandchildren, Hannah and Graysen Slipka; Emerson and Campbell Wojciechowski. He is further survived by his siblings, Carol Tomke of Marshfield, twin sister, Joellen (Ken) Heiman of Marshfield, Pat (Jim) Binder of Eau Claire and David (Denise) Weber of Marshfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and niece Jessica Binder. Memorials may be designated in Butch's name for Parkinson Disease research. Condolences may be sent online to www.rembsfh.com
