Joan A. Stargardt, 87, Marshfield, died on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Atrium Acute Care, Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Joan was born on May 12, 1930 in Spencer, to Joseph and Julia (Bell) Schroeder. She was united in marriage to Paul Stargardt on February 16, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield. He preceded her in Death on December 30, 2003. She is survived by her children Peter (Geri) Stargardt, Patti (Ron) Witt, Bruce (Shirley) Stargardt, Dona Stargardt, and Donald (Charity) Stargardt; seven grandchildren: Toni & Paul Stargardt, Amber (Adam) Marciniak, Travis (Bridget), Kyle, & Autumn Stargardt, and Savanna. She is also survived by two great grandchildren: Jay Stargardt & Maura Marciniak. Joan "s further survived by her siblings Rita Panske, Robert (Angie) Scherr, Francies (Ken) Collins, and Sheila (Dennis) Dishinger. Also surviving is a sister-in-law: Virginia Scherr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Carl Stargardt, two granddaughters: Susie Stargardt and Ann David, and her brothers Joseph Schroeder and Francis Scherr.
