Jerome "Jerry" John Theurer, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2026 at Wells Nature View in Marshfield, WI. He was born October 4, 1944, in Marshfield to Florian and Cecilia (Bores) Theurer. He attended St. Andrew's grade school in Rozellville and was a 1962 graduate of Columbus High School.

After serving in the U.S. Army from 1962–1965, he was honorably discharged and began employment at Hub City Foods, then Consolidated Badger, and after 41 years retired from V & H Ford Heavy Trucks, working in the parts department.

In his past-time he enjoyed traveling both the U.S. and abroad. He also enjoyed walking all around Marshfield and spending time at the YMCA, exercising and having coffee with friends. One of the highlights was his recent trip on the "Honor Flight" to Washington, D.C.

Jerry is survived by three sisters — Lois Seitz and Janet Bell of Marshfield, and Carol (Bill) Fischer of Lake St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by his nephew Johnny (Amy) Bell; nieces Kelly (Troy) Pankratz, Jill (Brent) Crowley, and Elyse Fischer. He will also be missed by great nephews and nieces — Chase Bell; Blake and Katherine Pankratz; and Lyla and Amelia Crowley.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Donald in infancy; and brothers-in-law John Bell and Clifford Seitz.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Rozellville, with the Reverend Eric Mashak officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. The service will be streamed online at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery where military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #6352 of Stratford. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Memorials in Jerry's name can be given to St. Andrew's Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.

We'd like to thank the wonderful staff at Wells Nature View and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
