Jeanette A. Lang, 77, Marshfield, died peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial Will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Collette (Daulke) Rosenthal, nephews, John Wingert, Rick Lang, David Lang, Shawn Lang, Rob Nelles and Dale Garfield, Jr. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rembs Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:30 am until service time at St. John's Catholic Church.
Jeanette was born on February 25, 1939 in Pittsville to Lyle and Nadine (Darrow) Russ and was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She was united in marriage to James E. Lang on October 24, 1959 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. They had 3 sons, Lyle J., Larry J., and Lee J. The Lang's also took care of 16 foster children. Jeanette was a homemaker and also helped in the family business.
Jeanette is lovingly survived by her husband, Jim and their children, Lyle J. (Julie) Lang and Larry J. (Patty) Lang. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kip (Sarah) Lang and Margo Lang, a step granddaughter, Alex Meier and a great granddaughter, Jazlyn Mae Lang. She is further survived by Kip and Margo's mother, Nancy Lang, Patty's children and grandchildren, a brother, Richard (Jackie) Russ, a brother-in-law, Willis Loeck and many very special in-laws and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Lee J. Lang, her parents, Lyle Russ and Nadine Ranvick , her step parents, Carol Russ, Louis Mundt and George Ranvick, her halfbrother, William L. Mundt, her sister, Joyce E. Loeck, her sister-in-law, Eleanora Russ, her in-laws, John and Regina Lang and other special in-laws.
The family will designate a memorial in Jeanette's name at a later date.
