Jay D. Turner, 56, Pittsville, passed away with his loving wife at his side, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Dupes Bar in Arpin. Burial and military rites will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Ford Cemetery, Menomonie, Wisconsin. Jay was born on October 26, 1965 in Yakima, Washington to Gerald and Barbara (Waggoner) Turner. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Gulf War. He married Lucille T. Schunke on July 25, 1992 in Las Vegas. Jay had been employed at V & H Automotive in Marshfield from 1998 until 2005. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with his best friend Jon Knutson, who passed on August 26, 2021. Jay is survived by his wife of almost 30 years and their children, Savannah Turner, Dustin Turner and Jesse Turner. He is further survived by siblings, Randy, Ronnie, Sharon and Karen. He was predeceased by his parents.
