Janis H. Guldan "Jan/Granny", 81, of Marshfield, passed away on February 24, 2021 at House of the Dove. A family memorial service will be held at Rembs Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 9th at 11:00 am. Friends and family visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service. A grand celebration of her life is planned for a later date. Jan was born on July 23, 1939, in Neenah WI to Garland and Gertrude Thompson. She was a 1957 graduate of Auburndale high school. She was united in marriage to Roger A Guldan, on March 9, 1957. Jan described herself as a "domestic goddess" whenever she was asked to list her employment. She wasn't kidding; her life revolved around her family, her friends, and her home. She took much pride in making sure the candy drawer (and closet) were always well stocked, and nobody ever left the cleanest house on the planet without being offered a root beer float or a popsicle. She lived for her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and nothing made her happier than to be able to see them, spoil them, and make sure that they knew they were the most important thing in the world to her. She left an abundance of "Granny Memories" to fill the hearts and feed the souls of her family (and friends!) forever. Jan loved her home and took great pride in keeping it tidy. She loved being outside to enjoy the opportunity for fresh air and hopefully a chat with a friend or neighbor who might be passing by. She loved tending to her flowers, mowing the grass, decorating her yard, and even shoveling the driveway. But mostly, she just loved to talk - with anyone, with everyone, about anything and everything. Her "Facebook" became a passion when weather or circumstance kept her indoors and she loved showing off her family via that connection! She was sassy and irreverent and opinionated and fiercely devoted to those she loved. Her absence will leave a void in the lives of all who had the opportunity to be a part of her circle. Jan is survived by her husband Roger, her children, Deb Guldan and her husband Keith Olson, Scott Guldan and his wife Renae, and her daughter-in-law Kathy Guldan. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren are Beau Serchen (Jena Nelson) and their son Bryant, Brant Serchen and his wife Shannon and their daughter Olivia, Katy Bechtel and her husband Justin and their children Lennon and Boone, Alyssa Quinlan and her husband Tim and their children Declan, Watson, and Foster, and Tad Guldan and his wife Breana and their daughter Ezra. She is further survived by her sisters Delores Hause and Sandi Koenigsreiter, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Ricky, her granddaughter Kasey, her parents Gertrude and Garland, her brother Robert, and her sister Carrie.
