Janice "Pokey" Lynn Zenker, age 76, of La Crosse, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 23, 2024, at the Gundersen Health System Hospital & Clinics in La Crosse, WI.

Janice was born in Richland Center WI, the daughter of William and Hazel (Ray) Byrd. Janice graduated from Richland Center High School in 1965.

On December 29, 1967, Janice married Robert Zenker (deceased) in Richland Center, WI.

Janice is a member of Mary Mother of the Church in La Crosse, WI.

She is survived by her daughters, Heidi (Pat) Korger of La Crosse, WI, and Holly Zenker of Honolulu, HI, grandsons Nathan (Amy) Korger and Benjamin Korger, great-grandsons Easton and Eli. A twin sister, Jeanne Obmascher of Whitewater, WI and a younger sister Bonnie Harlan of Baraboo, WI, nieces, a nephew, and a special recognition to Lori Rose.

Pokey was very curious about everything and very protective of us all. Most of all she was very proud of her children, grandkids, and great grandkids.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 – 11:00 AM with mass following at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Mary Mother of the Church, La Crosse, WI.
