IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Janice Mae
Kowalchyk
February 25, 1946 – January 10, 2025
Janice Mae Kowalchyk, 78, Junction City, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025, at Wellington Place in Biron, with her family present.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at Martens Rembs Funeral Home, Junction City, where a visitation for family and friends to gather will be from 10:00 am until service time. Pastor Timothy Roser will officiate. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Janice was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Henry F. Hinterberg and Grace Mae (Emery) on February 25, 1946. She graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1964.
Janice was introduced to Roger P. Kowalchyk while attending a cousin's wedding in Wisconsin Rapids. Their connection grew strong, and they frequently traveled to visit one another. It wasn't long before they began planning their wedding. On April 16, 1966, they were united in holy matrimony in West Allis, Wisconsin. The couple later purchased a farm in Junction City, where they raised their family and built their livelihood together.
Janice was known for her elegance and poise. She never left the house without her hair styled and makeup perfectly applied. She was a down-to-earth lady who enjoyed outings and had a strong passion for shopping. Janice was not shy about sharing her opinions on various topics, but beneath her confident demeanor was a heart of gold. Her love and warmth shone through in everything she did.
She is survived by her sons, Roger (Brenda) Kowalchyk, Jr. of Norcross, GA and Brian (Kelly) Kowalchyk of Milladore, granddaughters, Shawna (Ryan) Hoggard, Michelle Sparks, and Nichole Sparks, and great grandchildren, Abel, Jayden, Logan.
Janice is predeceased in death by her husband, grandparents, parents, sisters, brother, and baby Harlow.
Janice will always be fondly remembered for her butterscotch nut torte.
