IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Jim"
Wolf
March 19, 1946 – May 22, 2024
James "Jim" Michael Wolf, 78, of Chili, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home. A celebration of Jim's service to our country is planned at the High Ground later this summer.
Jim was born on March 19, 1946, to George and Gladys Wolf in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He completed his education at Granton High School in 1964 before enlisting in the Army in December 1965. Following his honorable service during the Vietnam War, he was discharged in September 1969. Upon his return, he held numerous jobs but spent many years as a project coordinator for Kmart Corporation, traveling throughout the United States to remodel and build new stores.
Jim enjoyed fishing trips and hunting whitetail with the guys in Wisconsin and Iowa. You could often find Jim watching the wildlife from the front porch of his home farm, where he resided for nearly the past 20 years until his passing. He will always be remembered for his insatiable sweet tooth. Kids loved visiting Jim for his bottomless jellybean jar and every type of candy bar imaginable.
Jim is survived by his children, Paul and Janet Wolf of Chili, WI, and Peter and Shani Wolf of Merrifield, MN; his grandchildren, Markielly Anderson, Cooper Wolf, and Zachary Wolf; and his great-grandson, Arlo Anderson. He is also survived by his siblings, Ron (Sandy) Wolf of Chili, WI, Susan (Michael) Luebke of Pound, WI, David (Jane) Wolf of Chili, WI, Mary (Dan) Gallichio of New Port Richey, FL, Joan Wolf of Princeton, WI, Tom (Joan) Wolf of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Tony (Diane) Wolf of Chili, WI, John (Rhonda) Wolf of Chili, WI; and his sister-in-law, Deb Steiner of Stratford, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys Wolf, and his brother, Michael Wolf.
Jim will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on in their hearts forever.
