James E. Schallock, 77, Stratford, died on Monday, February 6, 2017 at his home in the Town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County. James was born on April 12, 1939 in Stratford, the son of Ervin and Irene (Zuelke) Schallock, and was a 1957 graduate of Stratford High School. He married Rose M. Chesmore on August 17, 1963 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. Jim farmed in the Town of Eau Pleine his entire life. He also worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Rose and their sons, Steve (Wendy) Schallock and Michael (Teresa) Schallock, all of Stratford and a granddaughter, Jordon Schallock. He is further survived by his canine companion and buddy, Bear. He was predeceased by a son, John Paul Schallock in 1981, his father in 1967 and his mother in 2010.
